  • White Trash Fasion

    Trash? Hell, we call it free art supplies. Got a collection of leftover plastic shopping bags you can bring to the playa? Bring your own or use ours, but remember, our supplies are limited. Once you've split your bags and tied them into long strands of plastic yarn, a quick crochet lesson will get you started on your very own fabulous white trash fashion ensemble in no time. And don't forget, accessorizing with MOOP is the hot new trend this year. Fat-ass crochet hooks and blunt scissors will be provided.

 

  • Make Practice Poi

    Before you begin to spin with fire, you probably want to learn with some poi that is not on fire. We are bringing supplies to make a variety of different types of practice and dancing poi. Supplies are limited, so come earlier in the week if you want to have an option of what kind of poi to create. You can come by and use supplies any time during the day, and fairies will be on hand to help you during the "scheduled sessions" listed in the Who What Where.

    Salaam and Shalom! Please join Stephen and the AstroPups for a Middle-Eastern-style tea reception. Tea and light refreshments will be provided.

    Bring a drinking vessel with you and join us to escape the heat of the day for some desert hospitality. Guests in costumes that explore the theme are especially welcome.

    Back after a two-year hiatus, the wing-making workshop returns for an afternoon. We provide supplies that you craft into some wings to mount on your back and twirl around. Supplies are limited, so come early to get the best choice of wing bling. If you miss this workshop, you are always welcome to stop by during the day and use any left-over wing making supplies to fashion your own creation.

 

  • Make Hair Hats

    We've designed two hair hat designs for you to create for that promenade around the playa. Design A resembles Tracy Turnblatt from Hairspray, while Design B brings to mind Beaker from the Muppet Show. We provide the supplies and instructions, you create your fabulous chapeau. If you miss this workshop, you are always welcome to stop by during the day and use any left-over hair-hat-making supplies to fashion your own creation.
